Glennon Doyle is a writer, mother, speaker, Sunday school teacher, social activist — and believer in all things ‘brutiful’ (her moniker for life’s brutal-beautiful yin yang dance). A New York Times bestselling author, she is the founder of Momastery, an online community reaching millions of people each week, and the founder and president of Together Rising, a nonprofit organization that has raised millions of dollars in support of families around the world.
On a very rainy day in Manhattan, Glennon was ON from moment the elevator door opened into the top-floor studio we rented for the day. Wardrobe changes in hand, stories to entertain and a willingness to try anything, she was ready to work. Video interview, shots lying across sofas and dancing on a tables — nothing was off limits and we created a rich library of images in a short window of time. It’s testament to how much you can accomplish when you’re willing to just have fun on a shoot!
“Nobody is more capable of showing up than anybody else. It’s just that some people are willing to show up before they’re perfect and before they’re ‘ready’”—glennon doyle
